Create and Link a Memo to a Piece of Media

You can create and link memos to a piece of media while you are viewing the piece of media, or while you are in the Media Workspace. Memoing at the media level is useful for overall summaries of the piece of data, reflective thoughts on the piece of data, or other thoughts that apply to the piece of data as a whole. 

Create and link a memo while viewing the piece of media: 

1. Open the media file 

2. Select the memo/note icon in the upper right corner to open the create memo window

3. Choose what memo group(s) you would like to categorize the memo under, if any, and include a title and type memo content. 

4. Select "save"

Create and link a memo to a piece of media via the Media Workspace: 

1. Navigate to the Media Workspace

2. Find the piece of media you are interested in

3. Select the "0" in the Memos column corresponding to that piece of media. Doing so will open the Create Memo window 

4. Choose what memo group(s) you would like to categorize the memo under, if any, and include a title and type memo content. 

5. Select "save"
