Deleting or Closing Your Account
There are several things to consider before deleting your Dedoose account. Remember that if you have an individual account, you will not be charged if you do not log in to Dedoose. Often we recommend simply not using the application so that your projects will be available for you upon your return.
Deleting Your Account Steps
Step 1: If you are the admin of a group account, you will first need to remove all users from the group account. Doing so ensures that no charges are automatically generated for the account group and enables other users in the group account to take control over their own account.
Step 2: We recommend downloading a local copy of all of your projects. You can do so via these instructions for 'Exporting' your Dedoose project.
Step 3. Alert any collaborators on your projects that you are deleting them. Any work they have done on projects will be deleted as well.
Step 4. After deleting your project data, you can continue to request deletion of your account by submitting a support request here.
Please note that if you have an outstanding balance due, you will need to clear it before you delete your account.
