Re-Parent or Make Root

Re-Parent a Code

Dedoose allows you to manually move a child/subcode underneath a different parent code. To do so: 

1. Select the edit code icon when hovering over a code 
2. Choose the "Re-Parent" button 
3. Select which code you would like to nest the code underneath 

Make Code a Parent Code / Make Root

You can bring a code back to the top level of your codebook by: 

1. Select the edit code icon when hovering over a code 
2. Choose the "Make Root" button

The code will now be a Parent code in your codebook and no longer a child/subcode.
